आगे सफर था और पीछे हमसफर था..

रूकते तो सफर छूट जाता और चलते तो हमसफर छूट जाता..

मंजिल की भी हसरत थी और उनसे भी मोहब्बत थी..

ए दिल तू ही बता,उस वक्त मैं कहाँ जाता...

मुद्दत का सफर भी था और बरसो  का हमसफर भी था

रूकते तो बिछड जाते और चलते तो बिखर जाते....

आगे सफर था और पीछे हमसफर था.

RESPECTING MINDS

 

I remember reading an essay in school.Ramvriksh Benipuri "गेहूं बनाम गुलाब"।Tells you a root reasoning about logic,facts and emotions.There is one para in it I identified with, big time.Here is it:

 

"मानव-शरीर में पेट का स्‍थान नीचे है, हृदय का ऊपर और मस्तिष्‍क का सबसे ऊपर। पशुओं की तरह उसका पेट और मानस समानांतर रेखा में नहीं है। "

We never understood this .Respect the hierarchy.

SERENDIPITY

 

Serendipity

It is the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way(noun).

ORIGIN OF SERENDIPITY is from the characters in the Persian fairy tale The Three Princes of Serendip who made such discoveries .

Serendipitous is an adjective that describes accidentally being in the right place at the right time, like bumping into a good friend in some unusual location, or finding a hundred dollar bill on the ground.

   It is not the same as luck;luck is something that happens to someone by chance, a chance occurrence while serendipity is an unsought, unintended, and/or unexpected, but fortunate, discovery and/or learning experience that happens by accident.

RESPECT SERENDIPITY. IT IS NATURE'S WAY OF BLESSING YOU.

LOVE AND SELF RESPECT

 

I read somewhere something about love and self respect.We often humiliate ourselves in relationships specially in trying to prepare ourselves for the so called"right time" or "right moment" to say that’s it.

Save yourself because it isn't coming.There is no perfect time to decide to start respecting yourself.This is my view.

Now here is what I read:

"If love becomes too painful, then it’s time to let that love go and save yourself. You have to keep this in mind because you’ll be able to find another love but not another self."

"When a door closes, knock on it a few times. But if it still doesn’t open, let it stay closed. In career, in love, in LIFE – when you see the period at the end of the sentence, don’t try and turn it into a comma. Know when something is over and move on."

Combine my thought with this.Many of you may yet save yourselves...Before saving yourself becomes irrelevant.

HUSTLE

After "networking"this modern work pursuit method called hustling has taken the corporate world by storm.

Some may prefer self respect,decency and dignity.

Like "networking" this word too is considered a go getter aggressive achiever model.its a crying shame no one has any idea of even etymology of the word.Some management guru says it,algorithm manipulation gives it traction,and before u can say what,people are falling over each other to use it as being the "it" thing.

My two bit take: late 17th century (originally in the sense ‘shake, toss’): from Middle Dutch .Meaning "push roughly, shove" first recorded 1751.

hustler (n.)

1825, "thief" (especially one who roughs

up his victims), from hustle (v.) + -er (1).

According to the Oxford English Dictionary, hustle comes from the Dutch word "husselen," meaning "to shake or toss." Over time, the word expanded, meaning "to hurry" and "to obtain by begging."

The etymology twisters seem to have given a new form and shape to the word in a most convoluted Wodehousian adaptation.what a terrible tragedy!

And i see people applauding it as a work ethic ;its probably the worst form of human depravity and desperation to gain a foot into world of money comfort.Hustle is nothing except muscle.And tussle.

if you protest and say  term means: "work hard relentlessly in the face of discomfort to achieve your goals." then you are using the wrong term mate.

We call it "perseverance".Some even call it " putting in the hard yards".

So.Who wants to hustle?

ON DEFINING YOURSELF

 

As working professionals we often see ourselves or people at large at 

different levels of achievement.Has it something to do with internal hardwiring?

Are there cosmic blessings with some? Or do we aquire it over a period of time?

Is it experience at interplay with intelligence?Here is a layman's indicator I created 

towards understanding this.You can add/ modify as per your perception.

HARD WORK: Totally innate   BASIC SURVIVAL

SKILL set: largely acquired ,partly innate COMPETENCE

TALENT: partly acqd., largely innate     EXCELLENCE

GENIUS: Totally innate.Gift of nature   BRILLIANCE

Here is a related aspect inspired from the film 3 Idiots where the 

protagonist says''Qabil bano qabil.Qamyabi apne aap peeche aayegi.''

Achieve.Success will follow. The definition of an achievement is something 

that is accomplished, particularly by great effort, courage or special skills.

Its largely internal.Success is a favorable or satisfactory outcome or result;. gaining 

of fame or wealth.Its largely external.You can succeed without achieving 

and vice versa.Success is performance on an external,worldly 

defined parameter.Achievement is about accomplishing 

,creating competence,showcasing talent,exhibiting genius.

RELATIONSHIPS

 

WHY RELATIONSHIPS FAIL

1.Performance Expectations

2.Control freakishness

3.Demands

No woman is a Cinderella.Nor is any man a knight in shining armour.

What clicks :Value expectations.Respect.Trust.Empathy.

Love is an incomplete and overrated emotion.

But.

We don't know.Or we don't care.

Is it any wonder then that a thousand times more crimes are committed in the name of love than in the name of hate?
