EMOTION MINING

Humans are genetically programmed to self actualize. But I find that Indians are most susceptible to EMOTION MINING.From time immemorial one  sees that convoluted appeal to sentiment rather than compulsion of logic has driven our reactions as a group. We have failed our software miserably as a group. For a country whose inmates populate more than 50 percent of NASA the failure is astonishing. Our collective narrative has shifted .In civilizations that don't grow there is either a sense of drift or a sense of sin.Time to think about this.

I believe that there are two connected dangers militating against growth and evolution of human civilization. These are DELEGITIMISING DISSENT and SHIFTING THE NARRATIVE.It is clear and present danger. The emotionally mined must understand that "dissent"is just the opposite of "consent".Sentimentalising grammar shifts the narrative.Vibrancy of ideas and freedom of expression within a legitimate legal framework are unexceptional. In stone age, invention of fire was a statement of dissent.A statement of dissent against darkness.

The children God forgot

Been reading several political posts lately.

I have a reaction.

My question is to my countrymen.

Will you learn or will politics continue to drug reason ,it's success riding on our emotional buttons getting pushed?

I am completely apolitical.

I have never voted in my entire life.Never will.

Vote and support whoever u wish to.

But look at yourself.Look at the country.Decide events. Not individuals.Contest content not it's creator.

I only pray for my country and humanity with folded hands:

If public service is not about this ,it's about nothing.

Never fail to get tears in my eyes listening to this song and seeing the plight of the gullible, the destiny crushed  and the manipulated.

The children God forgot.

Make Him remember.By reason.

Till there remains one last honest tear, the blessed aren't done.

OUT OF THE BOX.THE MENSA STORY.

Some Years Ago, there was a Mensa Convention in San Francisco. Mensa, as you know, is A National Organization for People who have An IQ of 140 or Higher.

Several of The Mensa Members went out for Lunch at a Local Cafe.

When they sat down, 1 of them discovered that The Salt Shaker contained Pepper & The Pepper Shaker was full of Salt.

How could they Swap The Contents of The 2 Bottles without spilling any & using only The Implements At Hand? Clearly this was A Job for Mensa Minds.

The Group debated the Problem, Presented Ideas & finally came up with A Brilliant Solution involving A Napkin, a Straw & an Empty Saucer.

They called The Waitress over, ready to Dazzle Her with Their Solution. “Miss”, they said,” We couldn’t help but notice that The Pepper Shaker contains Salt &

The Salt Shaker — “. But before they could finish, the Waitress interrupted, “Oh! Sorry about that”.

She leaned over The Table, Unscrewed the Caps of Both Bottles & Switched Them.

There was Dead Silence at The Mensa Table.

WHAT REALLY MATTERS

Read a wonderful story recently :

Billionaire Femi Otedola  in a telephone interview, was asked :

"Sir what made you really happy in life?"

Femi said:

four stages-

The first stage was to accumulate wealth .

Then came the second stage of collecting valuables and items.

Then came the third stage .That  was when I was holding 95% of diesel supply in Nigeria and Africa. I was also the largest vessel owner in Africa and Asia.

The fourth stage was the time a friend of mine asked me to buy wheelchair for some disabled children.

At the friend's request, I immediately bought the wheelchairs.

There I gave these wheel chairs to these children with my own hands. I saw the strange glow of happiness on the faces of these children. I saw them all sitting on the wheelchairs, moving around and having fun.

When I decided to leave one of the kids grabbed my legs. I tried to free my legs gently but the child stared at my face and held my legs tightly.

I bent down and asked the child: Do you need something else?

This child said:

"I want to remember your face so that when I meet you in heaven, I will be able to recognize you and thank you once again"

What would you be remembered for after you leave that office or place?

Will anyone desire to see your face again where it all matters?

Romancing struggle and hard times

The hard truth is that struggle is attractive only after you succeed.

Teach otherwise and it will be said"what do you know?"

Only success is sexy .

Who sees romance in a struggle while struggling?

WINNING IS NOT EVERYTHING.IT'S THE ONLY THING.

Remember 3 idiots?:Prof asks class:who was the FIRST MAN to step onto the moon?Of course it's Neil Armstrong ...We all know it."

Then says "who was the second?"

He pauses"don't bother ,it's not important."

There is no nobility in poverty .It convults your soul ,wrenching it into unrecognizable shapes.Ditto for hard times.

Truth is, hard days are appreciated either if you have already succeeded in other ventures ,or when you succeed in this one.

Do you want to hear the story of a defeat?Ultimate defeat?Or story of a failed life?

Do you?

P.S.By the way Edwin Aldrin was the SECOND man to step on the moon.😊

Aldrin set foot on the Moon at 03:15:16 on July 21, 1969 (UTC), nineteen minutes after Armstrong first touched the surface.

Apollo 11 was the craft.

Ironically, the third person accompanying them,Michael Collins ,never did get to walk ...

The third person was Charles P. (Pete) Conrad (Capt., USN, Ret.)

This is my revenge on the 3 idiots Professor Asthana!😊😊

# DIGITAL DEFINITIONS

"You are what you google".

If someone were to know our google history,we can

pretty much be defined with reasonable accuracy.I

would just add our social media accounts to this.

So overwhelming and all pervading is the presence

of digital footprints in our lives that we are pretty

much the sum total of our digital activity.

We need not talk about how Orwellian nightmare

 (1. "1984". 2.ANIMAL FARM)

is nearing us.

It isn't .

Because it's already there.

SERENDIPITY

 Serendipity

It is the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way(noun).

ORIGIN OF SERENDIPITY IS from the characters in the Persian fairy tale The Three Princes of Serendip who made such discoveries .

Serendipitous is an adjective that describes accidentally being in the right place at the right time, like bumping into a good friend in some unusual location, or finding a hundred dollar bill on the ground.

It is not the same as luck;luck is something that happens to someone by chance, a chance occurrence while serendipity is an unsought, unintended, and/or unexpected, but fortunate, discovery and/or learning experience that happens by accident.
